Inside Trois Familia, Silver Lake's Casual New Brunch Dominator

New, 2 comments

From the Jon/Vinny/Ludo team.

The next iteration of Silver Lake brunching is here, with Trois Familia's arrival earlier this week to Sunset Boulevard. The daytime-only breakfast-and-lunch spot from Ludo, Jon and Vinny is already turning heads for its neighborhood placement and its surprisingly casual menu — considering the team's other restaurants, like Trois Mec — but now it's time to take a look inside.

Don't expect a refined dining experience in the former Alegria strip mall space. Instead, guests can feast on eggs and French-Mex brunch fare from the safety of a whitewashed picnic table, alongside strangers and friends alike. The room is otherwise rather colorful, with artful touches framed along both side walls and an actual record player pushing out the sort of 80's and 90's rap and rock classics that you'd expect the Animal guys to love.

Trois Familia is now open daily for breakfast and lunch simultaneously, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. If the place is full just put your name on the waiting list, and you'll get seated in turn. Anyone with their name on the sheet by 3 p.m. sharp gets guaranteed a seat — eventually.
