This comes after launching an ice cream concept.

The Adoteca space didn't stay on the market for very long. The Brentwood Italian restaurant is quickly getting flipped to Danielle Pizzeria according to roving Westside maven Toddrickallen. The ABC license reveals that Sprinkles founders Candace and Charles Nelson are behind the new business. Does this mean that the colorful cupcake and ice cream concept will soon have a pizza-based cousin?

There are still plenty of questions behind this move, which involves a full service restaurant with a working 41 beer & wine license in the heart of Brentwood. It's a departure from the Nelson's casual, quick-service cupcake and ice cream businesses.

While build-a-pizza chains are all the rage, this place looks like it's more appropriate as a friendly neighborhood trattoria with pizzas, pastas, and other Italian comfort classics than a grab-and-go eatery. Eater has reached out to Sprinkles for more information and will provide updates as they come. In an interview with Grubstreet years ago, Candace Nelson did say that she occasionally likes to have a slice of pizza, citing Joe's Pizza as a favorite.
