The West Coast Eggslut expansion continues with today's news that Alvin Cailan is taking his breakfast concept to the beachy side of the city. As previously rumored, the popular Grand Central Market stop will land in Venice, just steps from the surf.

The announced address is 1611 Pacific Avenue, which sets it in the former home of casual sandwich shop Santino's, and right next to the Hotel Erwin. That's a prime location for just about anyone, and should do much to attract attention (and long lines) when the place finally opens.

At just 1,300 square feet the restaurant space is still relatively small, but the plan is to build in enough elbow room for customers to grab their sandwiches to go, or sit (likely around some counter space, as with the GCM location) and chow.

There's no official timeline for opening yet — remember, they're also spending time working on a Vegas outlet — but an early new year arrival is most likely. For all those hungry morning Westsiders, that timeline can't move fast enough.
