More turnover as the mall rebrands itself.

It’s okay if you’re not intimately familiar with the Seasons 52 brand. The Orlando, Florida import is bent on doing mid-level sit-down healthy fare that usually fits well into high volume areas like Santa Monica’s Ocean Avenue or the Westfield Century City Mall. Except, well, after three full years the Century City location isn’t there any more.

A tipster writes in to say that as of last week the Westfield outpost was kaput, perhaps another casualty of the ongoing construction at the mall that has drastically reduced the foot traffic for most of the eateries on site. Just as likely: they were given the boot by what’s rumored to be a pretty pushy mall management team, hellbent on bringing in newer, flashier concepts like Eataly to the space.

Either way, Seasons 52 Century City is no more. So now if you’re after your next plate of kale Caesar salad or lobster pappardelle, you’ll need to head to Santa Monica. The same can be said for the do-it-yourself burger option The Counter, which suffered a similarly sudden fate this summer.
