There's no doubt falafel had a moment this year, what with Middle Eastern hotspots Dune and Madcapra taking center stage in the blogosphere, along with news that Falafel Arax is doubling down with new locations in Glendale and Studio City. Well the falafel train continues to chug along, and now Fala Bar is expanding with a second location on Abbot Kinney right in the old Chop Daddy's space.
The vegan, organic, nut-free, and gluten-free (except for the pita) cafe will open its 660 square foot space in Venice with indoor and outdoor seating on November 21. Like the original Melrose location that opened in April 2014, Fala Bar Abbot Kinney will serve a menu largely based on a variety of falafel, with popular dishes that include the kale burger made with kale falafel, housemade Thousand Island, and lemony kale; and finally a variety of salads.
Fala Bar will continue to expand in 2016 with locations across Southern California.
