It will be the restaurant's second location.

The Art District's favorite pizza purveyor is making its way to the LBC. After setting up shop in the burgeoning neighborhood, Pizzanista! is heading south to toss New York-style thin crust style pizza with fresh produce and small-batch ingredients along Long Beach's 7th Street corridor.

Targeting an opening during Thanksgiving week, Pizzanista! is taking over the famed 1911 Craftsman that previously played host to La Rizza's Pizza House, which closed after over 50 years in the location. Hoping to leave its mark on another up and coming neighborhood, Pizzanista! will offer a new take on pizza to Long Beach's Craftsman Historic District where the pizza selection has been dominated by Papa John's, Dominoes, and other national chains.

Located right in between Downtown Long Beach and Cal State Long Beach on bustling 7th Street, the pizza specialists offer pies built with hand-tossed pizza dough made from 200-year-old sourdough cultures from Naples and mounds of toppings crafted in-house and by other local vendors. Along with pizzas developed in collaboration with Sotto's Steve Samson, Pizzanista! provides gluten-free, vegan, and other daily specials.

The Long Beach location will feature the same menu as Pizzanista!'s flagship location in Downtown Los Angeles.  Dine-in, take out, pizza by the slice, outdoor seating, delivery, beer, wine, and Saturday and Sunday brunch will be available.
