— The Eater Awards were just last Monday, celebrating the finest and most interesting chefs, restaurants, and bartenders in the city. It was a big day for Downtown Summerlin's Andiron Steak & Sea, which took home the award for both Restaurant of the Year and Chef of the Year. Bartender of the Year went to David English at Other Mama, and Stone Cold Stunner was awarded to Rivea.

— Bad news for Lucky Dragon Hotel & Casino. The forthcoming project went to the City of Las Vegas requesting a whopping $25 million bailout, citing 3,600 jobs and the ability to revitalize an "horrendously depressed area" as reasonable cause. Well, the city voted no, and now there's no word as to how the ill-funded project will come to life.

— Center Bar and Parlor Lounge have finally opened in the Mirage. Celebrated chicago mixologist Liz Pearce will be mixing up specialty cocktails like the Mirage Spritz with Grey Goose, Giffard Pamplemousse, Chareau Aloe Vera Liqueur, lemon, pomegranate juice and Prosecco; and the Baller Old Fashioned with bourbon, maple cordial and Bittercube cherry bark vanilla bitters.
