Tock no more
After debuting with a Tock reservation system that took in a nominal amount that was later applied to your bill, Andy Ricker has announced that Pok Pok LA will now use OpenTable, which makes free reservations. The 200-plus seat restaurant takes reservations but still accepts walk-ins.
M Cafe's sweet new look
Though M Cafe was one of the earlier spots in town to tout healthy fresh menus, it's been overrun by some flashier new brands. Well the Chaya-owned macrobiotic chain has gotten a menu and interior refresh, according to LA Magazine. The killer new menu option? Banh mi, of course.
Arclight Santa Monica now open
According to roving Westside reporter Toddrickallen, the Arclight Santa Monica at the top of Santa Monica Place (next to the massive new Cheesecake Factory) is now open with a full bar and cafe. The best part? Taking your drinks inside the theater to enjoy with the film. Will the one-two punch of Cheesecake Factory and Arclight save the top floor of Santa Monica Place?

Elliott Smith's memorial in Silver Lake gets an update
As we reported last month, Bar Angeles is slated to take over the spot next to Dinosaur Coffee in Silver Lake. The project comes by way of the Horse Thief team, who repainted the Elliott Smith memorial as part of a new art show.
