Hollywood Donuts Bringing Modern Fritters to Cahuenga Blvd.

New, 1 comment

Cool-as-hell doughnuts are everywhere now.

The Los Angeles doughnut invasion continues, with news today of Hollywood Donuts opening soon from the always-busy Spacecraft. The slick new space hopes to modernize the traditional doughnut operation, bringing minimalist aesthetics and loads of marble to the forefront. Plans are apparently underway for the 1,000 square foot project to land in the first quarter of 2016.

Doughnuts, of course, have been undergoing quite the upscale renaissance in Los Angeles of late. Companies like Fōnuts and Donut Friend first help rise the tides, with out of towners like Sidecar and Blue Star Donuts riding the wave to their own new storefront spaces.

Eventually, Hollywood Donuts will open at 1645 N. Cahuenga, taking over the space next door to casual mealball restaurant Ball & Chain. Expect more details as they come.
