It's a wonderful thing that even in the middle of December, it seems as if Angelenos can't get enough ice cream, with myriad shops opening in the past few months. Well South Bay denizens will have another creamery to call their own when San Fransisco's Smitten Ice Cream makes its Southern California debut at The Point shopping center in El Segundo on December 16, joining eateries like Shophouse, Mendocino Farms, and Superba Food + Bread.
The ice creamery, which operates multiple locations around the Bay Area uses liquid nitrogen to make each order of ice cream on the spot. Owner Robyn Sue Fisher first launched her cutesy made-to-order ice cream concept in 2009 atop an old school Radio Flyer wagon, but soon enough will be bringing a second location in Silver Lake, sometime in early 2016.
