Look out, Culver City oenophiles: BottleRock is soon to be no more.
The legacy bottle shop and wine bar on Main Street in Culver City is set to close this Wednesday, unfortunately. A call to the sister BottleRock location in Downtown (they’re each owned by different brothers in the same family) confirms the Wednesday demise, and OpenTable has already pulled their reservations from its system.
Sad news for those who enjoy a drink in downtown Culver City, as the longtime BottleRock served as a casual option for simple tasters and connoisseurs alike. No word yet on what will replace the location, if anything, though the sudden loss is sure to be felt by the neighborhood. Combined with the weekend dropout of Chop Daddy’s across the way, it suddenly seems like downtown Culver City’s restaurant scene is running at much less than full capacity.
