Here's more news on Maradentro Brentwood, the forthcoming second restaurant location from Jesse Gomez and chef/partner Jose Acevedo. Slated for a February 2016 arrival, the former Cafe Rockenwagner space is currently still very much in the working stages (as the above photo shows), but with plans to eventually emerge as a lighter, ocean-toned eatery with an almost nautical vibe.

Expect light blue stone walls and Douglas fir planks throughout the Ana Henton-designed space, which follows in spirit with the original Maradentro (which Henton also put together) up in Studio City. There are plans to make room for 80 seats across the casual 1,800 square foot restaurant, which includes an outdoor patio that runs up alongside Wilshire Boulevard.

As for the food, expect the menu to overlap with the Studio City Maradentro original, which means loads of Mexican seafood, upscaled tacos, and fresh catch of the day specials. A full bar is of course in play, given the nighttime ambiance of the place, and they'll even be showcasing a new lunch menu for the restaurant, which can be found below.
