There’s more healthy eating coming to Santa Monica soon, with the upcoming arrival of Arizona brand Flower Child to Second Street. Housed in the former (and returning) Laemmle Theater space between Arizona Avenue and Santa Monica Boulevard, the upcoming restaurant is hoping to arrive sometime in spring 2016, postulates Toddrickallen.

For now, there’s ABC signage up on the chain link out front, which points to beer and wine sales only. As for the restaurant's menu, expect a mix of healthy-eating favorites, from on tap kombucha to kale salads and the near-ubiquitous grain bowls. The place isn’t strictly vegetarian, however, as there are options for steak, chicken, and salmon throughout.

Flower Child comes from the Fox Restaurant family of concepts, which is also responsible for chain luminaries True Food Kitchen and North Italia, among others. Outside of Santa Monica, the team is also pushing into Austin, Texas, and hoping to expand further across Arizona.

Look for Flower Child to land in Santa Monica sometime in mid-2016, with other concepts to follow at the Laemmle site, which is still currently under heavy construction, but plans to reemerge as the Monica 4 Film Center soon.
