Here’s your first look inside of Santa Monica’s long-awaited Bruxie, the Orange County waffle transplant that’s putting down roots in Santa Monica when it opens some time later this week or even early next week. Selling both savory and sweet options in a variety of formats (waffle sandwiches, waffle combos, etc.), the easygoing eatery aims for the heart of the tourist trade on Third Street Promenade.
From the casual seating to the breezy layout and exposed brick, there’s a lot to like about this new open location. It’s a vastly different look from the often tired vibes emanating from the rest of the pedestrian thoroughfare, and should make for a fun place to spend a lunch hour for anyone who works (or is doing some shopping) nearby.
Bruxie Santa Monica has been a long time coming, with initial excited announcements rolling out early last spring, followed by delays that steamrolled the place past even a late fall debut.
