Remember when we asked if LA needed a second Herringbone? Turns out the answer was no, as chef Brian Malarkey will transition the first Los Angeles location of the restaurant in the Mondrian West Hollywood into Ivory, a new restaurant that will debut on December 31. Ivory is the first culinary collaboration between h.wood Group and Hakkasan Group, which acquired the nightlife company last year.
Designed by Built Inc, who also worked on the h.wood Groups' The Nice Guy and Bootsy Bellows, in collaboration with h.wood co-founder John Terzian, Ivory will boast an expansive space accessed through the hotel's patio that will offer sweeping views of the city.
As for the food, former Top Chef contestant and one-season of The Taste judge Brian Malarkey will follow a similar market-driven philosophy of Herringbone, which still has a location in Santa Monica. Expect a menu of sharable plates filled with buzz word items like hamachi crudo and pork belly with deviled egg yolk.
Ivory will open daily for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch.
