Opening Alert: 3rd Generation Sake Bar, A Downtown Ramen and Sushi Mashup

Office workers have a new lunch time and happy hour hangout.

Matthew Kang is the Lead Editor of Eater LA. He has covered dining, restaurants, food culture, and nightlife in Los Angeles since 2008. He's the host of K-Town, a YouTube series covering Korean food in America, and has been featured in Netflix's Street Food show.

The Wokcano team has unleashed yet another swell, everyday concept that Downtown office workers will probably love: 3rd Generation Sake Bar. Infused with tonkotsu ramen, sushi rolls, plus an expansive list of sakes to taste, the shoebox space opened quietly a few days ago nearby the corner of 7th and Flower.

In addition to comforting bowls of ramen and nigiri sushi, there's a list of nigori sake martinis plus soju cocktails for those who can't handle their Asian booze straight up. Is this place going to be better than Ramen Champ or Kazunori? Probably not, but that's okay because this is walking distance from most offices in Financial District.

Open daily from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m., and until 2 a.m. on the weekends.
