Larchmont Village's eponymous California eatery The Larchmont has a new chef in charge. Kevin Kathman, whose resume includes such culinary giants as French Laundry and Gramercy Tavern, is bringing his passion for locally-sourced ingredients and seasonal cuisine to the updated craftsman bungalow.
Coming off the heels of the executive chef position at Wolf in Sheep's Clothing (currently Willie Jane), Kathman is ready to infuse avant-garde cooking methods into the 100-year-old space. New menu items include Smoked Sturgeon with fennel and potato salad, Rock Shrimp Risotto with tomato confit and lobster emulsion, and Moroccan Braised Lamb Shoulder with couscous and chermoula.
The two-year-old restaurant by partners Mathew Cape (Vinolio) and Spoon Singh (Venice Ale House) is open for lunch Monday-Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and dinner Monday-Saturday from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
