HOLLYWOOD— Hollywood's nearly year-old Mediterranean eatery Madera Kitchen is opening up a wine room great for private parties Friday, February 13. The room seats 20 people with standing room for 40, and has a menu curated by Chef Vanessa Lauren, who worked under Ludo Lefebvre at Trois Mec after a stint on ABC's The Taste. The $50 Wine Room menu includes 4 courses with options like Bone Marrow Crostini and Duck Ragu with morel mushrooms.
PASADENA— The sixth annual Vegan Beer and Food Festival is coming back to town on May 16. The festival is bigger than ever, this year taking place at The Rose Bowl. Although the list of breweries, restaurants, and bands participating is not yet released, if it's anything like last year, it will be pretty stellar. Tickets go on sale Friday, February 13 at noon.
KOREATOWN— The NY Times plans out a well-balanced 36-hour trip to Koreatown. On the itinerary is a solid list of classic K-Town spots like Toe Bang, Park's, Guelaguetza, and HMS Bounty.
