Angelenos Talk Love, Cheating, and Tacos in the First Taco Truck Confessions

The L.A. Taco recurring series goes for matters of the heart in episode one.

Farley Elliott is the Senior Editor at Eater LA and the author of Los Angeles Street Food: A History From Tamaleros to Taco Trucks. He covers restaurants in every form, from breaking news to the culture, people, and history that surrounds LA's dining landscape.

Not long ago, Eater teased an upcoming taco truck confessions series spearheaded by the great folks at L.A. Taco. The idea, at least from the trailer, was to let Angelenos get real about life, love, money, whatever — all while grubbing hard at some of the city’s most iconic taco stops.

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, episode one is now officially here. And guess what? It’s all about love. Or, more directly, cheating and getting caught, using an iPhone app to dig up incriminating sh*t, and why true love means grinding on someone while in the order line. And it all goes down at Gus’ Lunchbox in Silver Lake.
