Yakuza Sushi Sharpening Knives and Gearing Up in Silver Lake

New, 2 comments

The new sushi space near the reservoir has been a long time coming.

Farley Elliott

With the relatively recent arrival of Alimento and Milk to the southern corner of the Silver Lake reservoir, the neighborhood enclave just keeps getting hotter. Things are heating up even more as of late, though, as Yakuza Sushi prepares to open up shop in the long-shuttered Reservoir restaurant space, last rumored to be on the market for a cool $1.4 million back in 2012.

After a paint job and what can only be assumed is a serious interior overhaul (the place has been in the works for nearly a year), Yakuza is just about ready to show itself. Though paper still covers the windows inside, signage is up and the place looks completely scrubbed. Add in these two Craigslist posts asking around for some sushi help, and it’s apparent that this littler corner of Silver Lake should be getting a sushi boost sometime soon.
