Incredibly sad news out of the Trois Mec family of restaurants today, as general manager and beverage director Jeremiah Henderson has passed away suddenly.
A consummate front of house professional with a vast wine knowledge, Henderson spent time at Mozza, Bouchon, Del Posto and more, before landing on the incredibly popular Trois Mec and helping to overhaul the wine program there.
When reached for comment, Ludo Lefebvre, Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo passed along the following:
Jeremiah James Henderson was a valued and cherished member of the Trois Mec family.
Since coming on board to Trois Mec this past August, Jeremiah was quick to revolutionize several aspects of the restaurant. His devotion and education of wine and terroir was supported with a deep understanding of food and wine pairings. He single handedly turned the all french reserve wine list into a enviable Burgundy roster of magical gems. He was one of the best sommeliers that Los Angeles had to offer and we feel lucky to have been able to work with him for even a short time.
His ambition to achieve goals, train staff and make the restaurant better were commendable and an inspiration for those around him. He was a passionate and soulful man who will be greatly missed. Our deepest condolences for his friends, family and loved ones. The Los Angeles restaurant scene lost a real star.
Jeremiah Henderson was 32 years old.
