International Italian gelato shop Amorino Gelato has just landed in Los Angeles. Well, Beverly Hills to be precise. The popular European operation has roughly 100 shops worldwide, from Italy to French Polynesia, include two New York locations, plus Las Vegas and San Francisco. Now, after initially plotting for a fall release, it’s L.A.’s turn.
The woody interior of Amorino plays off of their artisanal aesthetic, which looks to bring a European vibe to Santa Monica Blvd. in Beverly Hills. The long gelato bar is stocked mostly with traditional flavors, though a few new options do occasionally rotate in. Sweets like gelato-filled macarons, crepes, and coffee gelato cake are also available.
Officially soft open today (though a few preview tests have been going on recently), Amorino Gelato is hosting a 7 p.m. free gelato happy hour. But if you can’t make that, the store will run temporary hours on Saturday as well, scooping free gelato between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Beginning next week, the shop moves to regular hours: noon to 11 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday, and noon to midnight Thursday through Saturday.
