Dolcenero's Hyper Traditional Gelato Hits Main Street Santa Monica March 8

Take a peek inside the hottest new gelato shop in Santa Monica.

Gelato is growing up in Los Angeles, from the far-flung shops to now prime located gelaterias in places like Beverly Hills and now Santa Monica. Dolcenero is leading the trend on Main Street, with a pedestrian-friendly location touting a slew of hyper-traditional flavors like hazelnut, pistachio, stracciatella, and strawberry.

Founded by Simone Acciai, Nicola Cambuli, and Francesca Mallus, everything came together because of their intense love of gelato. More imaginative flavors might include tiramisu, strawberry cheesecake, and dulce de leche. The official soft opening date will be on March 8, so gelato fiends will have to wait a little more than a week before lining up for this frozen glory.
