The impending (second) boba bubble can’t be far away, right? The Taiwanese drink is absolutely taking over Los Angeles, moving west into Sawtelle and even Santa Monica, packing into Westwood, creeping up on Koreatown and even making moves towards the USC contingent.

The latest (and most popular) name to keep cropping up is CoCo Fresh Tea & Juice, which is now primed for a downtown launch in South ParkPer the eagle-eyed Brighham Yen, the South Park CoCo’s is coming to the 11th and Hope area, where a first level of parking space inside a larger structure is being revamped into 11,000 square feet of retail.

For those not in the know, CoCo’s is Taiwan’s largest boba palace, with something akin to 2,000 locations worldwide.  Build out for this one is still coming along, but there are plans to be operational by April, so says their current signage. And with it, the firm knowledge that bubble tea is officially unavoidable.
