6 Amusing Facts About Jessica Biel's Kids Club Au Fudge

New, 10 comments

The pricey and exclusive restaurant for children is coming soon.

Au Fudge

Oh fudge! It looks like Jessica Biel’s cutesy-named Au Fudge restaurant is still nearing an official opening. Sure they lost their chef, but a Spring unveiling remains very much in the works.

According to Drive the District (a GM-branded online publication, for what it’s worth), Biel’s upcoming house of childishness is well underway, despite a less-than-stellar reception to the concept. That is: it’s a semi-private high end organic restaurant targeted largely towards children.

Per the interview with Estee Stanley, co-owner/celebrity stylist:

Don’t run away! It’s not just for kids, we promise!: Beil and Stanley might be hoping for a bit of a rebrand. "This is a place, first and foremost, for adults. The cherry on top is that kids can come and enjoy themselves too."

There will be drinks (you know, for when you’re watching your kids): "The environment is made to feel like you’re going to someone’s house who is serving delicious food, great drinks and if you have children, there is an amazing activity/education center as well."

Membership is still very much in play: Soho House indeed, but with the added bonus that only rich children will be forced to play with other rich children (as long as they have the right coins, like the ones shown above). No riffraff allowed! "There is a membership component in which we will sometimes have members-only nights, discounts, etc."

You can’t hate on the treehouse, though: Yep, a full-on treehouse. "There will be a marketplace for food to-go, an outdoor lounge, and amazing activity center for kids with an actual indoor/outdoor treehouse…"

Edible funfetti, everywhere: There are two menus available at the upcoming Au Fudge — a healthy side and a filthy (ew) side, both of which will have options geared largely towards the little ones.

Yes, Jessica Biel really is heavily involved: "She’s totally involved in the process, and has worked with me on design and creative elements. And she’ll be extremely involved once it’s opened as well."
