It looks to have been a slow, near-silent death for West Hollywood’s Eat Well. The casual diner on Santa Monica Blvd. attracted a decent local following for folks interested in breakfast eggs and lots of homefries, but never attracted much attention elsewhere (though there is another location still alive and well in Glendale).
Now in its place comes Slurp Ramen Bar — at least according to this ABC license (for what it’s worth, the primary corporate owner listed is Slurp Corporation, which is pretty hilarious). The pending 41 license looks to expand on the offerings previously found at Eat Well with on-site beer and wine service; not bad for a local Japanese noodle shop.
The inbound Slurp Ramen Bar looks to add itself to the mix of mid-level ramen shops tucked between Sawtelle and Little Tokyo. Just in the general Mid-City West / West Hollywood area, there’s already Urban Ramen on Sunset and Tatsu Ramen on Melrose, plus the not-so-secret Monday and Tuesday night ramen deal going down at Animal on Fairfax.
