Hermosa Italian Spot La Sosta Enoteca Adds Second Eatery in Manhattan Beach

The upscale Italian spot is soft open now.

Hermosa Beach Italian stalwart La Sosta Enoteca appears to have finally branched into its second location in nearby Manhattan Beach. OpenTable has tabs on the new digs in an upscale little strip spot along Highland Avenue, steps from the beach. While signage has been up since late last year, it appears that meals are just now starting to move out of the kitchen.

The brainchild of chef/owner Luca Manderino, the first iteration of La Sosta acts as a refined Italian eatery for the South Bay, tucked into a retrofitted house in Hermosa. Signature dishes are mostly pasta oriented, like a fettuccine in veal sauce, though charcuterie and cheese boards are also on offer.

Overall, the South Bay continues to come on strong as a slightly pricier dining destination, thanks to recent places like the nearby Steak & Whisky and the recently reviewed Love & Salt.

Expect kitchen and staff to continue working out the kinks at the new La Sosta Enoteca in Manhattan Beach, as soft-opening rolls on.

Guests can make reservations via OpenTable now, though. Hours run run Tuesday through Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
