It looks as though EMC Seafood’s newest location in Canoga Park is coming along nicely. The Topanga Canyon Boulevard spot is angling for a summer delivery, which is perfect timing for their ice-cold raw bar, considering the summer temperatures out in that part of the San Fernando Valley. It's nice to see something interesting hit the deeper parts of the Valley, instead of just another casual spot on Ventura Boulevard.
The 1,200 square food restaurant is fitting into the The Village at Westfield Topanga nicely, with its upbeat nautical theme touched off by turquoise tiles and dark wood flooring that resembles a pool deck or backyard dock. The build out is being overseen by Spacecraft Design Group, who have a knack for creating interesting spaces.
The latest rendering, above, shows an indoor-outdoor functional space that should help to draw crowds to the underserved area. And with the weekends already heating up, those great oyster deals can’t come soon enough to Canoga Park.
