The Financial District coffee takeaway is perfectly located.

Look out, coffee hounds. Brigham Yen is reporting that popular Manhattan Beach caffeine stop Two Guns Espresso is readying for their big downtown debut on April 6. There are even a few photos to prove it.

The simple New Zealand-owned coffee operation is landing right at the base of the Figueroa and Wilshire tower, directly across from the incoming Wilshire Grand in the Financial District. The diminutive takeaway space has settled into the former Border Grill Stop window, which closed up in January after a nearly five year run.

Now the business folks in the neighboring high-rises will have equally high quality Caffe Luxxe brews to enjoy as part of their morning routine. And yes, Two Guns’ well-known flat white will be a permanent staple here.

As for seating, there’s plenty of it outdoors but that’s about it. Still, the new Two Guns downtown is likely to become a go-to for the business set and beyond, making it a welcome addition to a part of town that is mostly littered only with Starbucks.
