The Detour Skids Into Culver City Next Month

New, 2 comments

The forthcoming bistro bar concept sits next to The Corner Door.

Culver City’s next casual drinking destination is finally starting to come along. It’s The Detour, a bistro bar concept from the folks behind Great Dane Catering, set to officially grand open in April after an initial tease last summer. (Until now, they'd been mostly soft open since last year)

Working a European-inspired vibe but with a farm-to-table ethos, The Detour hopes to become a hit with locals who already frequent neighbor The Corner Door. Mostly, that means they'll be crafting daily seasonal menus for lunch, brunch, and dinner alike, in a space a brighter, cheerier space. Happy hour is on tap as well, providing reduced-cost cocktails and signature drinks to the secretly bustling Washington Boulevard area.

Though the final touches are still being worked on and the menu remains in flux, things are coming together quickly for The Detour. Official debut could come within a few weeks.
