Aaron Franklin Will Indeed Pop Up With Adam Perry Lang, This Time at Animal on Fairfax

The barbecue pitmasters have been cagey about their upcoming schedule.

Well look'it here! After initially walking back news that he'd be teaming up with barbecue pitmaster Adam Perry Lang for an exclusive pop-up, it looks like Aaron Franklin is coming to Los Angeles after all.

Though it won't be on Kimmel's back lot and there won't be a limited ticketing system as previously hinted at, the pair is definitely doubling up for a two night stand at Animal on Fairfax.

The whole thing is dubbed El Jefe: Austin Midnight Dinner, in keeping with the recent run of Roy Choi/Cuban food pop-ups that have been taking place there recently. That also means that Favreau and Choi will be on hand, helping to craft dishes for the family style fête.

The dinners go down on Monday, April 13 and Tuesday, April 14, all night. They're $85 per person, and for a few extra bucks you can even buy Franklin's cookbook and probably have him sign it. To make a reservation (they're gonna go quick) call: 323-782-9225.

Can't get in but want to snag one of those Cuban sandwiches from the film Chef? They'll be selling those outside, cash only.
