Bask in Milo & Olive's Newly Expanded Dining Room in Santa Monica

New, 1 comment

The perennial favorite has a much bigger dining room, which means less wait times.

Already one of the busiest restaurants in Santa Monica, essential spot Milo & Olive, which serves some of the best Cali-Italian fare in the city, has an expanded dining room that now serves more than double the number of diners that it held previously. In the original rendition of the restaurant, there were about a dozen bar seats and two large communal tables.

Since last Wednesday, the Rustic Canyon group's all-day eatery now has two and four tops, plus additional bar seats, for a more convivial atmosphere. Those gorgeous wooden rafters are still on display while the front pastry counter is still chock-full of some of the best baked goods in town.

The seasonal menu from Erin Eastland has some newer gems, like marinaded shrimp with polenta, hand-cut pappardelle, and braised organic chicken meatballs, though classics like those wood-fired pizzas remain on the bill of fare. Breakfast runs daily from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., while the lunch and dinner menu go on until 11 p.m.
