Opening Alert: Found Coffee Starts Brewing Today in Eagle Rock

The specialty coffee maker is now soft open.

Newcomer Found Coffee has made a home for itself in Eagle Rock, according to the LA Times. The brand new specialty coffee maker sits just down Colorado Blvd. from the popular Trader Joe’s, with a simple (though shiny and new) storefront. There's even some real life, no pretendzies parking!

Annie Choi, previously of Santa Monica’s Demitasse, only recently opened the door to the shop, offering daily espresso creations and seasonal lattes. Found Coffee’s name, says Choi via the Times, is a reflection of the up cycled aesthetic of the place, which utilizes rehabbed furniture and thrift store finds as its primary decor.

Baked goods come by way of Creme Caramel L.A. and tea is from T-We in the Bay Area, which is always a good sign. Though it remains to be seen if Found can latch on to the neighborhood's relative lack of good coffee (Cafecito Organico didn't last long down the street), it's a promising start for Choi.

Found is still very much in soft open mode; WiFi is on its way and other small details will be added as they come up. Check out the small third wave shop (with beans from Demitasse, naturally) along Colorado Boulevard in Eagle Rock. Daily hours start at 7 a.m. Tuesday through Saturday (8 a.m. on Sunday/Monday) and end at 7 p.m. (3p.m. on Sunday and Monday).
