B Sweet Dessert Bar sure does love supporting the lil’ troops. The ever-popular dessert shop on Sawtelle (now officially recognized as Sawtelle Japantown, everyone!) is going full Girl Scout this week, earning merit badges for their inventiveness in concocting some bread puddings inspired by the annual cookies.
Sure, it’s a bit gimmicky to trade on the cyclical Girl Scout cookie craze, but there’s no denying the power of their popular Samoa, Tagalong, and Thin Mint flavors. B Sweet will be putting each to good use in their own inspired desserts, naming the one-time-only run Girl Scout Cookie Week. There’s even plans to have local troop 15265 on site over the weekend selling their boxed confections, should the need for actual Thin Mints arise.
Beyond B Sweet, it seems that bread pudding may be having a mini-moment. Eric Greenspan’s ongoing grilled cheese pop up at the Westfield Century City is even getting in on the game, according to this tweet. So hop on board while you still can: Girl Scout Cookie Week at B Sweet Dessert Bar ends on Sunday.
