Austin’s own Hopdoddy Burger Bar is heading to Southern California, crowding the beef and bun field even further. The five year old brand has already previously outsourced to Colorado, Arizona, and across Texas.

Incoming locations for the burger and beer concept are threefold. First is The Runway at Playa Vista (an area that is getting increasingly crowded with the emergence of nearby tech), with The Point in El Segundo landing nearby. To keep the beachy vibes going, Hopdoddy’s third location will hit upscale ocean enclave Newport Beach, inside of Fashion Island.

Born and bred in Austin, Hopdody acts as an approachable burger concept for all, relying on renewable energy for power many of its locations, and only serving up sustainable, hormone and antibiotic-free beef. It all sounds a bit like Burger Lounge, the casual gourmet burger option out of San Diego that debuted several years ago in a few locations across the city.
