DOWNTOWN— Prolific Taiwanese-based chain Coco Fresh Tea & Juice has just opened its fifth location in Los Angeles at 11th and Hope in South Park, just a few blocks east of Staples Center. Expect to see a slew of milk tea and fruity treats served from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. According to Brigham Yen, the downtown location will offer buy one get one free drinks all month to celebrate its grand opening.
PACIFIC PALISADES— Maison Giraud is welcoming Chef Josiah Citrin of Mélisse for a special guest chef dinner on Thursday, April 30. The five-course dinner menu includes caramelized Chatham Bay cod, hay baked chicken with morel mushrooms, and Camembert with truffle and crisp potato. The dinner is perhaps the most affordable way to sample chef Citrin's food, and is offered at $75 with an optional $45 wine pairing. Reservations can be made at 310-459-7561.
