Bacchus Kitchen Is Pasadena's Best New Neighborhood Dinner Option

The neighborhood 40-seater opened this week.

Bacchus' Kitchen

Claud Beltran’s Bacchus' Kitchen has finally hit Pasadena. Following on the heels of Beltran’s eclectic eatery / catering company spot Claud & Co. Eatery, Bacchus' Kitchen hopes to be a slightly more refined 40 seat neighborhood space.

Originally slated for a debut sometime in January, the upscale casual space on Washington Boulevard only came to life officially this week. The plan is for a more approachable, predictable dinner experience than what was often possible at the anything-goes Eatery nearby, but with a fantastic wine list and well-prepared food. Dishes range from coconut milk shrimp to a gourmet burger, along with chicken pozole, cheese and charcuterie plates, and more.

Inside, the restaurant is clean and open, with lots of exposed brick and big windows facing the street. Old and new fixtures mix together to create a room that’s rustically charming without being overbearingly quaint.

Bacchus' Kitchen keeps dinner hours only, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. They are closed Sunday and Monday.
