Funnel Cake Ice Cream Sandwiches Are Why the World Hates America

First it was churro ice cream sandwiches from a storefront in Los Feliz. And now, Los Angeles must brace itself yet again for the next iteration of dessert/Disneyland mash-up: the funnel cake ice cream sandwich.

Currently only available as a specialty order at Quenelle’s Ice Que in Alhambra, the funnel cake ice cream sandwich takes your favorite fair snack and tosses a ton of mascarpone ice cream and strawberries inside. "We want it to taste exactly like what you would have at Magic Mountain," Quenelle owner John Park tells LAist, who breathlessly covered the sandwich’s unveiling.

Known as the FuNELLE cake, the summertime heart stopper is currently only on offer every Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and comes in at a cool $6.50.
