Franchise monster JINYA Ramen Bar has finally gotten a taste of the beach life, heading out to Main Street in Santa Monica after a few fits and starts. The shop officially debuted on Tuesday, Mach 31 and is already going strong, racking up nine early (and positive) Yelp reviews and a couple dozen photos.

It’s a surprisingly artsy design for the casual ramen space, which has the commonly seen wood-line ramen bar feel inside, as well as a larger dining area for two and four tops. The best feature may well be the sizable outdoor space, which comes complete with a fire table at one end. The overall outdoor look is all angles and big windows, lending an industrial feel to this section of Santa Monica. Where else can you slurp ramen with the ocean breeze?

The well-known JINYA menu is solidly in place at this new outpost, where everything from bowls of tonkotsu to takoyaki to shrimp toast is possible. Don’t forget the quinoa salad either, SaMo.

JINYA Ramen Bar Santa Monica is open seven days a week from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
