Bar & Kitchen has always sort of hidden-in-plain-sight kind of place in Downtown's O Hotel, despite a prime location next to the likes of Faith & Flower and Honeycut. Brigham Yen reports that the hotel restaurant is in the midst of an interior transformation that'll make it feel less like a kind of quiet place to grab a meal if you're a guest that's scared to explore, and more of a neighborhood spot for Downtown denizens.
Chef Vahan Tokmadjian will continue to helm the kitchen, though Bar & Kitchen will sport a brand new menu when the makeover's finished. The changes, which should be done by the end of April, include moving the bar to the front to increase visibility, while a new glass fixture will fuse the restaurant better with the street. That'll mean diners can just walk straight into the Bar & Kitchen without having to go through the lobby. New drink items include punch bowls and 8 craft beers on tap.
