Despite already being sold out, the hype is still building for popular taco festival Tacolandia. The annual party is the work of LA Weekly and notorious taco hound Bill Esparza, and is entering its third year in the game. Like last year, the event will take place at Downtown’s historic El Pueblo de Los Angeles.

So who’s on the roster for the June 6 event? Many of the most notable taco makers in all of Los Angeles, along with a handful of worthy newcomers. In total there are 80 vendors, which is twice last year’s number, and should in theory help to quell some of the day’s longer lines by offering more choices. Keith Garrett of All Flavor No Grease will be there; the Watts native has been doing gigs all over town (and has one coming up in Las Vegas) since first being written about back in February. On the other side of the spectrum, Cielito Lindo, perhaps L.A.’s oldest standing taco vendor with a stall at the end of Olvera Street, will also be on hand, preparing their special brand of taquitos.

Big names like Corazon de Tierra from Mexico’s Valle de Guadalupe and El Tepayec from Boyle Heights will also be making appearances, alongside stalwarts like Coni’Seafood, Guerrilla Tacos, Kogi BBQ, and La Guerrerense from Ensenada. Trejo’s Tacos is also expected to be cooking up some tacos, though no word on whether the Machete star himself will be on hand.

Also, the Vendy Awards will be stopping by this year, making sure there are awards doled out in six different taco categories, including People's Choice and a Lifetime Achievement Award.
