In-N-Out Breaks Ground on New El Segundo Drive-Thru Near LAX

It'll be the second airport-adjacent location, optimized to feed hungry travelers.

Fresh off the news that West Hollywood is getting its very own Shake Shack in 2016, local burger champion In-N-Out is well underway with their latest L.A. location in El Segundo.

A tipster writes in to say that the former Sizzler location on a corner parcel of the larger Queen Esther Square lot off Sepulveda is currently in demo mode, complete with chain link fencing and a lot of construction happening. The demolition of the longtime Sizzler was officially approved back in 2013, but seems just now to be getting underway in real earnest.

Still, banners are going up announcing the arrival, and a paperwork on the location shows plans for a two lane drive-thru, which should help to quell some of those long lines that can plague In-N-Out locations.

It’s a smart location for In-N-Out (though what location isn’t), considering the proliferation of nearby Fortune 500 companies like Mattel, Ratheon, Boeing, and Chevron. Add in the relative proximity to LAX and you’ve got yet another burger winner for the West Coast behemoth.
