International Fast Casual Concept Freshii Lands New LA Location In Northridge

The fast casual takeaway market has only gotten more and more crowded in recent years, even as bigger chains like Chipotle struggle to source some of their most popular ingredients. Well, here comes another fast casual shop (back) on the scene: Freshii.

Freshii is already a well-known name in many cities, particularly Canada. But in the past decade or so, they’ve expanded into 12 countries, with locations as diverse as Austria, the United Arab Emirates and Guatemala. Here in the States, there are franchises in Boston, Houston, Orlando, Portland, and beyond.

For the L.A. market, Freshii has decided to land their re-invasion (they've had others here in the past) on the beaches of … Northridge? Apparently so.

Freshii is pushing into a massive strip mall off of Plummer Street that houses such luminary chains as Corner Bakery Cafe and Yard House. There isn’t much in the way of fast casual healthy food, though, which means Freshii’s takeaway clean eating options shouldn’t face much competition.

Look for Freshii to open up in Northridge by mid-May.
