The results are in! After much debate over whether or not West Covina would be getting a Porto’s Bakery or a strip club, it seems that officials have landed on delicious pastries over nude dancers.

"I’m very excited to announce that Porto’s will be opening a location in West Covina," says Mayor Frederick Sykes to the SGV Tribune, adding that it’s a partnership that has been in the works for years.

Just don’t expect this Porto’s to happen overnight. Instead, the family behind the popular Cuban-leaning bakery name say that a 2017 unveiling is likely. After all, with long lines at their existing locations in Burbank, Glendale, and Downey, they're pretty busy.
