Din Tai Fung Opening Massive SGV Flagship Location Inside Westfield Santa Anita

The insanely popular dumpling house opens blocks from its original location.

Stop the dumpling folding for just one second, folks: There’s a new Din Tai Fung coming. This iteration, meant to be a San Gabriel Valley flagship for the Taiwanese brand, is dropping right inside of the Westfield Santa Anita mall.

It’s quite the coup for the seriously popular dumpling house, which started in Arcadia before branching out into bigger (and in some cases glitzier) digs elsewhere. The Santa Anita location is a welcome SGV return, and will hopefully help to quell the lines at the original location by giving people the ability to head for a larger space just blocks away. That is, assuming the original Arcadia rooms remain, given the proximity to the new location (management has no official word on if they’ll stay at this time).

In addition to Din Tai Fung, the Westfield Santa Anita is further bringing their Asian food A-game with the impending arrival of Meizhou Dongpo, a Beijing transplant that already has one location here in L.A. Hopefully, it all adds up to more delicious Chinese and Taiwanese food for everyone in late 2015 or early 2016.
