Pizza Romana, a Haven for Custom Built Pies Along La Brea Avenue

It takes over the former Cube.

Pizza Romana has decided it wants to take one of the brightest signs in all of Los Angeles and advertise its newest concept: custom-built pizza much in the vein of 800 Degrees, Pieology, or Blaze. Taking over the former Cube, which had served fantastic cheese platters, pasta plates, and glorious fried chicken (the latter of which has remained on the menu), Pizza Romana is now firing up thin-crust pizzas in a casual space. Remember that Cube shut down last July for renovations.

It seems that the place is also a bit of a front for the Divine Pasta Company's pre-made pizzas, which carry the same name. However, at this La Brea storefront, find a wide array of fresh toppings from buffalo mozzerella, grilled chicken, prosciutto, and even bolognese. To go along with the pies, one can sip on craft beer or wines by the glass. And to finish, that trusty Italian dessert on-the-go: gelato. Open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
