Neal Fraser’s Fritzi Dog has been popping up inside the courtyard of Vibiana downtown for a little while now, quietly serving high-quality franks to downtowners looking to each cheaply and quickly. Now they’re going even more legit.

The second outpost of the popular hot dog stand, which currently sits inside the Original Farmers Market off Fairfax, officially begins their brisk lunch business today. Working weekdays only, the stand is open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and even has their own signature dog on the menu, a smoked beef and pork blended frank.

The full menu is just about as robust as the original location, and includes a choice of beef franks; turkey and duck; jalapeño chicken; and even those sous vide carrot dogs that have garnered Fraser plenty of attention within the non-meat community. Choose a bun, add on toppings, and you’re done.

Fraser says that, for now, anyone who buys a drink and a dog gets a side fries or tots for free. It’s an inexpensive way to get satisfied for lunch in this part of Downtown, though it’s worth noting that Fraser’s more upscale restaurant Redbird, also on site at Vibiana, has just started doing lunch themselves.
