Do you like waffles loaded with all the sweet toppings? Does a buttermilk fried chicken and cider slaw waffle sandwich sound pretty darn good to you? Well waffle lovers, rejoice, Bruxie, the gourmet waffle sandwich maven with locations primarily in Orange Country, is making its inaugural LA debut in Santa Monica.

Bruxie serves up both sweet and savory sandwiches, using Belgian waffles as the bread. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, it offers a plethora of waffle variations to fulfill any craving, from the go-to bacon, egg, and cheddar option to prosciutto di parma with gruyere. Of course, there's plenty of sweet varieties, ranging from Nutella and bananas to lemon meringue "pie."

Bruxie Santa Monica will be the seventh location of the chain. Unemployed Eater reports it will take over a portion of the old Yankee Doodle spot on Third Street Promenade, with a T-Mobile store occupying the rest of the space. Bruxie Santa Monica is scheduled to open in September.
