That much-anticipated Guisados outpost in West Hollywood seems to be coming along nicely. After taking over the short-lived Gangnam Pocha on Santa Monica Blvd., things have been moving along pretty quickly for the local legend, which already has locations in Boyle Heights, Echo Park, and Downtown.
A new ABC license for the space shows plans for beer and wine sales inside the space, which shouldn’t hopefully require too much more work, given the fact that the previous build-out was brand spankin’ new. The sooner they open the better, too, given the traffic-heavy area’s increasing influx of new talent. Just a block south there’s a new Verve Coffee going in, and a little ways to the east is the upcoming home of the West Coast’s very first Shake Shack.
There’s no official word of an opening date for Guisados West Hollywood (the team last referenced the new location on Facebook back in March, and they didn’t have one then) but with an ABC involved and nearly two months of work under their belt, it can’t be long now.
