The end of tax season is nearly here, and those who have been buried under a pile of receipts and forms will certainly be in need of boozy relief. In a welcome marketing ploy, 1933 Group bars will serve up $1 cocktails from 5 to 9 p.m. on Tax Day, Wednesday, April 15.
Live in the Hollywood area? Sip a Death & Taxes with scotch, gin, sweet vermouth, Benedictine, and orange bitters at Sassafrass or a classic old fashioned at Harlowe for one buck. Eastside? Hit Bigfoot Lodge for a Taxydermy with rum, lime, and bitters; Thirsty Crow for The Tax Man's Hat with rye, sweet vermouth, and bitters; or La Cuevita for a Tax Mule with vodka, hibiscus flowers, and ginger beer. And for those on the Westside, Bigfoot West will sling old fashioneds and Pisco punch.
Happy filing!
